Originally built to be the home of the first Italian ambassador to South Africa, and inspired by 18th century Venetian architecture, Casa Labia is a multi-functional space that houses a cultural centre, art gallery and an 80-seater restaurant. The food is described as “laid-back, seasonal comfort fare” that is typically Italian in its simplicity and its flavour. Cucina Labia is also a beautiful spot for an elegeant afternoon tea, which is accompanied on weekends by talented pianist Jean-Paul Grimaldi-Lasserre.
