Just a short walk from the St James guesthouses is one of the smaller beaches along the False Bay coastline but this doesn’t detract from its charming appeal. St James beach with its colourful Victorian bathing boxes and the large tidal pool are a trademark of the area. The beach is not that big but there are rock pools on either side of the tidal pool that allow you to spread out and explore. The rock pools are rich with fascinating sea creatures. This beach is great for everyone but has particular appeal to kids with a sense of adventure. The tidal pool is calmer and warmer than the sea making for very pleasant bathing conditions.
